The Hermitage

The Hermitage is composed of five buildings and includes the Winter Palace. Every tourist visiting St Petersburg will want to visit this extensive collection of art and amazing buildings that are a reminder of the history of the Tsars. We (me and three American's) had an excellent guide called Irene. She was incredibly knowledgable, fairly dramatic and had a great sense of humour.

It was crowded and there were some charming looking groups of Russian school children.
